When I first read this book I fell in love with Mackey and with Xander. The commitment Mackey makes to Xander is just amazing, even when Xander is at his lowest point,Mackey just pulls him through and fights for them.Its an amazing love story. I personally love M/M romances but I really love when the men maintain their gruff exterior and still show their feelings. I like the strong men lol, what can i say!
The emotion and depth of despair to the highest elation set in this book is truly amazing. I struggled along with Xander, and despaired with Mackey. Annabeth brought this world alive in the most amazing detail, the characters completely flawed and it makes them realistic and people we can all understand.
The bonus story was just brilliant! I loved seeing the HEA, I loved seeing their relationship take the next step and I am not referring to Mackey family or their HEA lol.
Annabeth is a brilliant writer and I look forward to following more of her work.

I fell in love with this story the first time i read it. I am not a fan of BDSM but Cassandra makes it well make sense for me. I understood Clay's need for submission. A soldier who suffered so much while in the military who had to always be strong.. Just makes sense he needed some release.
Flynn knew right away what Clay needed and how to give it to him. I love the relationship between Clay and Flynn. I loved watching the scenes with them and the love.
I was thrilled when Cassandra added the epilogue and we got to see the couple get their HEA. I am a sucker for HEA and a fan of Cassandra's.
