Chronicles of Steele Review

Chronicles of Steele: Raven: The Complete Story

by Pauline Creeden
Genre: YA Steampunk, YA Sci Fi

Blurb: Human life has value.
The poor living in the gutter are as valuable as the rich living in a manor.
The scoundrel is no less valuable than the saint.
Because of this, every life a reaper takes must be redeemed.

Raven has lived by this first tenet since she was trained by her father to become a reaper. But since his death, she’s been spending years redeeming the lives she’s taken. By her count, she’s even and it’s time for that life to end. If she settles down and becomes a wife, she might just feel human again. But on the way to the life she thinks she wants, the baron of New Haven asks her to complete a task which she cannot ignore… Just when Raven decides to give up on her life as an assassin, she’s pulled right back in.

My Review:

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

WOW! That is all i can say. This book was so amazing, I read non stop for hours! Literally growled when anyone interupted me!

Raven was raised as a Reaper, (not anything like the grim reaper just fyi). Reapers were once soldiers of the king and they are the best of the best. Reapers must save a life to redeem each life they take, on this quest Raven saves the young duke and future heir to the kingdom. This sends them both on a long and twisted path that I never expected. You meet castle soldiers, good witches, bad witches, and all kinds of things in between!

I never knew what was going to happen next, the twists just kept coming and I was glued to the pages. I recommend this series to any YA lvoer!

Very well written, no details missed and a fascinating plot! Perfect story!
