Blue Moon – Book Blurb:
Angel DeLucca is one of the most sought after gay bachelors in Virginia Beach. He's smart successful, lethal, and more than anything he's drop dead gorgeous. Angel has his pick of the men that come to his popular Oceanfront night club, but lately the one night stands haven't been enough...Angel craves something deeper. When a one night hook-up goes terribly wrong, Angel comes into contact with the breathtaking Maximus (Max) Strong. Max is a firefighter for the Virginia Beach Fire Department. Max is beautiful, charming, and also very straight. One meeting with the mysteriously, sexy Angel DeLucca and a whiff of that silky, jet black hair, Max finds himself questioning everything he's known to be true about himself. Max tries desperately to understand the new feelings he has for another man and turns to his gay, older brother...Ryker. Ryker has always been Max's protector and his guide their entire lives, which has left him feeling uncared for and alone to handle his own life's problems. Ryker craves to be taken care of, he craves the attention and praise of a Master. No one knows the dark desires within him until Angel's Chief of Security, Sebastian 'Bass' Bagatelli, shatters that secret with their first intense encounter. How will Angel win the heart of the straight firefighter that was tailor-made just for him? Will Max be able to continue denying his feelings for another man? Can Ryker and Bass get through their personal issues to take and receive what they both need from each other? Or will they each give up on a happiness that appears too good to be true? These men's stories will unravel in a whirlwind of romance, bdsm, revelations, lots of action and very hot sex, co-starring very entertaining supporting characters.

Jennifers Review:  SPOILER FREE!!!

I have to say when I first got this book, I was excited but reserved. The blurb was interesting but I had found recently the M/M books I read were lacking. One or other of the characters was a simpering idiot. Then with the added element of BDSM and I was really hesitant. I am not comfortable with the BDSM lifestyle and haven't really found many books to change my opinion.  Until now! OMG!! I loved this story so much.

Angel Deluca is an openly gay man who is a very successful night club owner, here we meet some interesting characters. Bass is Angel's head of security and a Master Dom. All the members of staff are like a family and its nice to see the closeness of the relationships throughout the whole story.

Maximus Strong is a firefighter who believes he is straight until he responds to an alarm at Blue Moon. Instant sparks (lol). Stryker is Max older brother, he has known he was gay forever and craves a Dom to make him his.  Again  sparks fly!  His fellow firefighters are amazing and more than meets the eye.

We meet family members who have interesting stories to tell and friends who i hope we get to learn a lot more about soon!

Max and Angel have a beautiful relationship, the intensity is awe inspiring and I admit made me jealous! Both men can be alpha when it was needed or desired. I was nervous about the first sex scene between Max and Angel considering one was a virgin.  A.e Via did a brilliant job and it was masterfully written. Very well done and I think all of the scenes were done with class and style. Well done!

Stryker and Bass... sigh.. I have never found anyone who could explain what the relationship between a Dom/Sub is as well as Stryker does. I understood why he wanted to find his Dom and rooted him on for it.  I truly see the beauty in this lifestyle for the first time.

I read this book in a few hours because I didn't want to put it down. I loved the complexity of each person and their relationship. I love how faceted each was. No one was just two dimensional, all had multiple layers that just created a dynamic story.  Depending on the situation each could be strong, weak, passive or very aggressive. I truly was inspired by this story.

Sheri's Review:

I wasn't sure what to expect this being the first book by this author.  I am a fan of M/M and BDSM books, so I was nervous on that account too.  I can honestly and happily say this book blew me away!!  This book is not heavy BDSM so those who aren't in to those books won't mind, and those who are will smile because they know it's a good portrayal of the why's and what's.

Part 1 is Max and Angel mainly and they are just phenomenal.  Two strong guys who fill each other up and make themselves better then they were.  Angel is a successful nightclub owner and he is very confident in who he is and in his lifestyle.  Max is a firefighter and learns a few things about himself.  He is tough, gentle and loyal.

These two guys show that even though they fall quickly doesn't mean it's any less real. They are confident in who they are themselves and who they are together.  They make you believe in the power of love.

Part 2 is Bass and Ryker.  Ryker broke my heart a few times, he is so strong. He is everything Max needed him to be, but in the process Ryker has lost himself.  His loyalty runs soul deep, his inner pain and fear run just as deep.  He is a man who I couldn't help but fall in love with and want to cheer on to his HEA.  Bass, is well Bass. He is the Dom that all sub's dream of finding.  From the moment he sets eyes on Ryker he knows his fate has been sealed and doesn't whatever he needs to do to fix Ryker.  Together these two men renewed my faith and love in BDSM they showed you what its' about, what it can mean, what it provides.

Part 3 is the whole gang, and the extended family and fighting through the challenges and fears and bad things that arise.  Shot and the other guys, the firefighters, the security people, the whole extended basic family come together to show us love makes a family.

This story has some awesome lines like "He was more nervous than a sinner in church, but hornier than a hooker on Sunday" that have me laughing till I cried and other lines like “A partner that will love you and only you for the rest of your days, and when you are gone his life’s not worth living anymore.”  That made my heart swoon.  This story has something for everyone, a terrific plot, characters that have depth, and emotion and make you connect to them.  Everyone from the main characters, to the barstaff, to the firefighters, and shot and his men.  You will quickly find a place in your heart for all of them!!

The few typos I noticed in the story were quickly overlooked as the story line was so engrossing that they couldn't pull me away.  I can't wait to see what next adventure Backhander and the gang take us on.

AE VIA is one author I am definitely going to be watching, I have no doubt she will be doing amazing things in the not to distant future!!
