Bound To Me

Blurb

A girl with nothing else to lose.
A life that's brought nothing but pain.
A tattoo that's more than what it seems.

Eighteen-year old Veronica has had enough. Her alcoholic mother has only delivered a slew of abusive step-fathers and life is only getting harder.

What was to be a simple tattoo for her birthday brings more than she ever imagined.

Liam is a shape-shifting dragon. He lives on her shoulder, watching her, helping her. Having the dragon come to life and teaching her courage becomes a new lifeline for Veronica.

But Liam will eventually become a permanent tattoo on her skin - never to take the shape of the protector she became attached to.

Will she embrace her life or will a broken heart shatter her soul forever?

Sheri's Review:
I wasn't sure what to expect with this book.  It had a great premise, and a blurb that intrigued me. Plus how often do you read books about dragon shifters.  I am very glad I picked this one up.  It's a great short read, that leaves me waiting very inpatiently for the next full length novel that I hear is in the works.
Ronnie is a girl who hasn't had an easy life, her dad walked on them and her mother couldn't handle life after that.  Ronnie goes through a steady procession for step dads each one gettin a bit worse then the last.  On Ronnie's 18th bday she gets a tattoo never knowing how much it will change her life.
Liam is a shape shifting dragon sent to protect and teach Ronnie and learn somethings himself along the way.  He knows his time is limited, and he does his best to fix what is broken with Ronnie while he is here.
Theirs is a whirlwind romance almost as if they are mates and destined to be together, but will fate and Liam's duties ever allow it to happen.
I really liked this story. It's not often you find a story about a girl who learns to stand up for herself albeit slowly.  Ronnie has along way to go, but after years of abuse that is to be expected.  Ronnie gives people hope that you can find your reason to live, and you can find your reason to carry on even when life takes the important things away

Jenn's Review:

When I first read this book, I had no idea what to expect. I was excited to read my first dragon shifter but to find out he is a tattoo on her body..WTH
LOL.  I loved every second of this adventure. Ronnie is a troubled girl whose mother is lost in a bottle and a stepfather who beats her and hints at more.  As a present Ronnie gets a tattoo and so much more. Ronnie learns how to be stand up for herself, mostly and what love is.  Liam is a Black Dragon, some of the last of his kind. They both have lessons to learn and teach each other.
I laughed out loud numerous times and felt like crying at the end. I cant wait to see what happens next for Ronnie and Liam.  Where the story takes them.....I cant wait to see.
