Jenn's Favorites:

Tasting Never by CM Stunich - What can I say about Tasting Never, except it pulls out your heart stomps on and grinds in the ground.  This book made me believe in the perfect person for everyone, wether they are F@#$ked up or not.  We can always find that someone.

"Never Ross wants to be loved.
It's that simple, but it's not that easy."

Never is a girl with a broken soul who doesn't date nice guys and can't seem to go to bed at night without crying herself to sleep. She doesn't need any complications in her life, especially not when they're attached to a man that could be her emotional twin.

Ty McCabe can't stand Never the first time he meets her. He's aware that the feeling's mutual and the two don't think they'll ever see each other again, but when fate takes a hand and puts them both in the wrong place at the wrong time, Ty and Never form a tentative friendship that opens the door on their dark sides and shows them what it's like to live in the light.

"Sometimes, the only way to go forward, is to take a few, careful steps back."

Drowning by Rachel Firasek - I cant tell you exactly why I loved this book so much.  The Heroine goes through hell and survives! Who doesnt love a survivor. I had a hangover for two weeks after this one. Of course it had to be in my top 5 books of 2013.

"I dare you."

Those words would change adrenaline junkie, Alice Harrison's life forever. She's a party girl that doesn't believe in love until she meets a man that only writes about it.

Seth James escaped his overbearing father and moved into one of the James family's vacant condos, hoping to create the music he loves in peace. But the fragile calm he's envisioned shatters when a tiny woman with a world full of energy bounces out of the elevator and nearly takes him out.

With the patience of a saint, Seth seeks the dark that keeps Alice from enjoying life. He challenges her to exorcise the demons in her past in order to discover the true meaning of love. But when the walls fall down, the hidden deceptions will bare the ugly truth about a woman drowning in sorrow and a man who may not know how to be her hero.

Caged Heat by Milly Taiden - What is not to love about a hot alpha male who waits FIVE, YES FIVE years for his mate! He is loving, protective, hot and sexy! I want Riel!

Black Meadow Pack Book 2

Everyone has a bit of a beast inside…

After five years travelling through third world countries to teach impoverished children, Samira Suarez has returned home to Black Meadows. What Sam didn’t expect was to be instantly consumed by desire for the one man she’s wanted since she was a teen, Riel Karven. As Sam’s need for Ry grows, it becomes overwhelming, almost as if…she were in heat. But she’s a human…isn’t she?

Werewolf Riel has been patiently waiting for Sam’s return. For five long years he’s watched her come and go. But now that his mate is back, he’s taking a stand. Unfortunately, there’s more at stake than just getting her into bed. Sam is the heir to her grandmother’s estate—a very large estate—and it seems that someone in the family is willing to kill for it…

Controling the Dead by Annie Walls - The path Kansas has to travel and the issues deals with are terrifying. Again my theme is of a survivor, but I cant help it! This is an amazing story of love, loss, triumph and personal strength. What else do you need?

With the help of her new companions, the path Kansas follows leads to more knowledge of the ever adapting famished.

The team finds help in unlikely places, meeting more survivors, and discovers the possibility of a new beginning.

When the team experiences a devastating loss, Kansas struggles to keep her humanity from fading and distorting like that of the surviving society around her. It begins with knowing who to trust and who to leave behind. First, she must trust herself – she won't make the same mistakes twice.

As the answers to her questions are revealed, Kansas begins to understand the knowledge comes with a heavy price and great responsibility of controlling the dead.

In a trilogy plot thick with twists and turns, this adult dark fantasy is as emotional as it is horrifyingly gripping.

My last pick for 2013 is Good Side of Sin by Kristie Haigwood. Thoros is a demon who is in love with an Angel, so of course they both go through Hell, litraly and figurativey. I love a good man who shows he is strong and compassionate. Thoros is my other book boyfriend.  I have to allow him to be with Josselyn but in his heart he knows he is mine!

Josselyn has just spent the last three months in intense Line of Defense training so she could join Malcolm’s search party. Little did she know the archangels had no intention of letting her bring back into Heaven an angel who had opened a portal between Heaven and Hell, at least not before saving God's creations from the tight grasp of Lucifer first.

Three months have passed since the angel Rhyan released nine repented demons from Hell, and now innocent people are dying, but their souls are not going to Heaven. Josselyn's mission is to find the demon responsible for stealing the souls and bring it to justice before Lucifer gains enough power to rise and claim Heaven and earth as his own.

Her whole world is shaken when she discovers what tool Lucifer is using to track down the one key to the release of his eternal damnation. Thoros is one half-souled immortal she prayed she would never see again. The ex-Prince of Lust had stolen her heart and crushed it with a cheeky smile. Now, not only is she being forced to put her damaged ego aside and face the only man that has ever hurt her, but she has to work with him in order to complete her assignment.

Is she strong enough to keep from falling in love with him again? Or is their love the only thing that can keep Lucifer from getting the one thing he wants most? Heaven.

Now, to my Book Resolutions... I want to read 365 book this year.... sadly I am already behind!  I hate these book hangovers!!!

Sheri's Favorites:

I loved Bully because it wasn't your typical YA story. It was full of angst, and pain, and love and hate. It's not a pretty love story, its painful but ts real. You can see why things happen, you understand the pain and you fall in love. It's life in its brutal form.

Bully by Penelope Douglas - NEW ADULT ROMANCE--Bully (Book 1 in the Fall Away Series) My name is Tate. He doesn't call me that, though. He would never refer to me so informally, if he referred to me at all. No, he'll barely even speak to me. But he still won't leave me alone. We were best friends once. Then he turned on me and made it his mission to ruin my life. I've been humiliated, shut out, and gossiped about all through high school. His pranks and rumors got more sadistic as time wore on, and I made myself sick trying to stay out of his way. I even went to France for a year, just to avoid him. But I'm done hiding from him now, and there's no way in hell I'll allow him to ruin my senior year. He might not have changed, but I have. It's time to fight back. *This novel contains adult/mature young adult situations.

Aaron hurt more then almost any other book I read this year.  Aaron is broken, destroyed, torn apart barely holdng on.  He lost his best friend and his youth on the same night.  Now all he has is the memories and the scars to show for it.  He has to learn to live being broken, he has to learn to love as broken person.  He finds the boy who helps put him back together.  This is a story of survival, of pain of living through your worst nightmare and learning to survive and finding love.

Aaron by JP Barnaby -   I can't describe what it's like to want to scream every minute of every day.
Two years after a terrifying night of pain destroyed his normal teenage existence, Aaron Downing still clings to the hope that one day, he will be a fully functional human being. But his life remains a constant string of nightmares, flashbacks, and fear. When, in his very first semester of college, he's assigned Spencer Thomas as a partner for his programming project, Aaron decides that maybe "normal" is overrated. If he could just learn to control his fear, that could be enough for him to find his footing again.

With his parents' talk of institutionalizing him-of sacrificing him for the sake of his brothers' stability-Aaron becomes desperate to find a way to cope with his psychological damage or even fake normalcy. Can his new shrink control his own demons long enough to treat Aaron, or will he only deepen the damage?

Desperate to understand his attraction for Spencer, Aaron holds on to his sanity with both hands as it threatens to spin out of control.

I loved Wolf Protector because it was a fun lighthearted romance. Had awesome main characters in Trent and Erica, but also had really cool secondary characters.  If you know me you know I am not so patiently waiting for Jane and Ramirez's story..hint, hint Milly!!  This is just an awesome read that left me very hapy.

Wolf Protector by Milly Taiden - A woman with a secret… The Federal Paranormal Unit is an elite squad of supernaturals dedicated to solving missing persons cases. Erica’s gift allows her a special connection with the crime, but it comes at a deep personal cost… Until now, she’s kept her gift a secret, even from the other members of the team. But this case will throw her together with Agent Trent Buchanan. He’s the object of her secret desires, but he’s also a cocky womanizer. She’d rather swim in shark-infested waters with a paper cut than admit she has feelings for him. A man with one desire… Wolf Shifter Trent wants Erica more than he’s ever wanted any woman. He’s spent years patiently waiting for her to admit that she wants him too. Working one-on-one in a race to find a serial killer, Trent’s patience and Erica’s resolve wear thin. When Trent discovers the truth about Erica, will he accept her for who she is? And can he protect her from the horrors that her gift brings? A case that pushes them to the edge… Erica will have to risk it all if she wants to stop the killer, and when she does, Trent may have to put his own life on the line to make sure his mate is protected…

This book was awesome.  Once again surprise, surprise it's full of angst.   This is an awesome YA story.  Liam and Amber can't stand each other most of the time  They also can't stand not to be near each other too.  She is broken, he helps mend her.  Its full of love, and pain and its freaking awesome!!

The Boy Who Sneaks in My Bedroom Window - Kirsty Mosely

Amber Walker and her older brother, Jake, have an abusive father. One night her brother's best friend, Liam, sees her crying and climbs through her bedroom window to comfort her. That one action sparks a love/hate relationship that spans over the next eight years.

Liam is now a confident, flirty player who has never had a girlfriend before. Amber is still emotionally scarred from the abuse she suffered at the hands of her father. Together they make an unlikely pair.

Their relationship has always been a rocky one, but what happens when Amber starts to view her brother's best friend a little differently? And how will her brother, who has always been a little overprotective, react when he finds out that the pair are growing closer? Find out in The Boy Who Sneaks In My Bedroom Window.

Gorgeous guy, broken woman, Tattoo's, love, pain, angst, good friends and add in that it gave me a book hangover and it you have a perfect book.  One of my favorte thing is that even though this book has a good ending, things aren't perfect.  Book Two is them still working out issues that arise from her being broken.  It's a book that sticks with you long after you are done reading it.

Playing Patience by Tabatha Vargo - Sometimes all you need is Patience.
Life’s been hard for Zeke. Being a punching bag for his alcoholic father has turned him into stone. Not even the dodgy trailer park he lives in can scare him. Fighting is his release and sex, drugs, and his guitar bring him peace, but deep down Zeke isn’t quite as hard as he makes himself out to be. When he meets Patience, she finds all his broken pieces and puts him back together, but she’s a ray of light in his shadowed life and the last thing he wants to do is bring her into his dark world. Playing careless is easy, playing the bad guy can be fun, but playing Patience is impossible, especially when she can see right through him. Zeke isn’t the only one who’s broken, and for the first time, in a long time, Patience feels alive. Her black and white world gets a shot of color when she meets Zeke. He’s unlike anyone she’s ever met with his tattoos, piercings, and blunt honesty. She wants nothing more than to let go and ride the wild side with him, but some wounds never heal and the broken pieces of Patience aren’t so easy to find.

My New Year Book Resolution is to read every spare second I can, oh wait I do that any way. My goal is to actually keep track and mark them as read on goodreads (so I can keep a tally) and write reviews for each book on amazon.

Majority of these authors have street teams! If your interested in joining, let us know we can help with quite a few of them!!!!
